Lost Jacket

I believe my jacket fell through the rather large cracks at Spring Mtn. Shelter. The shelter is located about 11 miles north of Hot Springs. All these years of hiking and I finally lost something substantial.

The jacket is a Montbell thermawrap and is coal black. Any one passing that way, do me a favor, and shine a light between the cracks of the middle bunk and see if it is still there. I would like to have it back if the trail gods are smiling. All assistance is appreciated! Good hiking, y'all.

I'd be crushed if I lost my Montbell! Are you a member of Whiteblaze? I think that would help you more for reaching hikers to get the word out. I'd go myself and look for you but I'm gonna be somewhere else this weekend.

Thanks LD, I agree it would get more "press" at WB. My thought was I feel like I know the people on this amazing forum. Eventually, I will list it on WB. Unless, someone shines a light down into the cracks and figures out what that is down in there, I don't think it would be easily found. The cracks are about 4 inches wide on either side of the middle planks. I think the jacket slid into the crack when I was unfurling my sleeping bag for the night. It's the only thing I can think of

Well I hear ya! This is an amazing community. Hopefully someone who lives near enough will go see for you. You wouldn't know anyone at the outfitters store in Hot Springs would you? Just a thought.
