    Mitten Clips/Pullouts

When my Big Mamajamba tarp arrives, I was thinking about running a piece of shockcord between the side pullouts, then using a plastic mitten clip in the center of this cord and pulling out to a stake with zing-it. I'm guessing there's not a ton of tension here, so it shouldn't break, right? I guess I could use a minibiner if anyone thinks this is not an appropriate use.

Why not just larks head the guy line to the shockcord and dispense with the hardware all together ?
    Good luck,

That's what I have done. The larkshead slides but will stay put when under tension.

I never liked the connecting piece then center pull. Jmo. Larkshead is the way Id go. I only did it on one side. In hind sight Id only have pullouts on one side of my next tarp. Play around with it. Whatever you like....do it! But les fiddle and hardware prevails...unless its dutchware...then I look like a xmas tree :-)
