What type of cord works best for tying out a tarp? Size, material and supplier would be a great help.
Thanks.....

I'm partial to this TripTease knockoff cording. The Speer no-tangle guyline(scroll down) is popular here too.

go to Quest Outfitters and purchase the chartruese with turquoise tracers line. It doesnt stretch (noticable over 10' section), and Ive held a 120# weight from it.
#2507 nylon, $0.25 a yard. 50yds would be $12.50 But quest will ship it USPS for around $1.75
cant beat that!
The cheap alternative is Mason Line at Home Depot.

I use 550 paracord from any local outfitter. I think it's 7 cents per foot. You can strip out the insides as well to make it lighter and it'll still be really strong.

I'm partial to the Kelty Triptease Guyline I get from REI. I'm blind as a bat when the sun goes down so anything at all that helps is a good idea as far as I'm concerned. You can see it HERE It's $15.00 for 50 feet.

I like Samson Lash-it, it is a fraction of the weight of paracord (and stronger), doesn't absorb water like paracord, doesn't stretch, and is the right size to tie slingshot tarp tensioners with green theraband tubing.

I like the gossamer gear cord

Wow that is alot of choices, I bet that didn't narrow down your search very much. If you go with any of those fine suggestions you can't go wrong.
