On A Short Walkabout in Guana River State Park

Drove down to Florida two weeks ago. We took a short hike around the trails in the Guana River State Park. The park is part of the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve. There is a nesting pair of bald eagle with two quite large eaglets in the nest. It just feels good to be out walking.
Besides, Guana River is about the only thing I can say with even the hint of an Australian accent.

I am using a new video editing program. I don't know why my captions are messed up.

    Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

P.S. If anyone wants to post instructions on how to embed the video in the post, that would help. I don't know how to do that.

I’ll have to check the rule book, Jcavenagh, but I don’t think you’re authorized to say g’day! lol Unofficially, and off the record, you said it just right. You even had your hand up in the air, a slight lean to the side, and you said it with a smile. You must have had some behind closed doors training from G’days R Us. lol That was a fun video/slideshow! You’ve got some really strange looking trees at Guana River State Park. Thanks for the trip report and the g’days, Jcavenagh!

How to Embed the Video in the Post

VERY IMPORTANT: Use "Note pad" to do the following steps.

Using the link below, which I got from your YouTube page and by clicking on the button with "Share" written on it:

    http://youtu.be/i-yQL_V1W84

Copy the last part, after the /

    This bit:

    i-yQL_V1W84

Paste it into "Note Pad" and between these two Youtubes:

    [YOU TUBE][/YOU TUBE]

BUT, "without" the spaces between the [YOU and the TUBE]

I had to do it with spaces to stop it from turning into the video player.
It must look like the following, but with no spaces:

    [YOU TUBE]i-yQL_V1W84[/YOU TUBE]

That's all there is to it and without the spaces, it will show on the page like this:

Of course you need to copy it from "Note Pad" and paste it into your new thread.

...Or, just copy the video identifier on YouTube on a different screen, use the YouTube button on the Hammock Forums composing page: Screen shot 2012-04-08 at 7.29.48 AM.png and paste the identifier between the YOUTUBEs as described above. No Notepad needed. Good report. Thanks!

Thanks, guys. I'll try that next time.

I have to play around with this new VideoPad editor a bit so I can get the various features to work properly. I expect to have more Hiking Illinois stuff up in a few weeks.

og - Thanks. If you look close you'll notice the wife is none too pleased as she is standing next to the fallen tree upon which I so gracefully posed. But after the drive down from Chicago, I just had to break out a bit.

I smile a whole lot more when I'm out and about. The HI project is really helping me smile more, breath better, think slower, and just feel all around more healthy! The stress of regular life just seems to shed away when I'm using my muscles.
