Hi. I've been lurking for years (I'm shy). I made my first camping hammock in 2005 and have made a few more since then. I thought I should introduce myself before I start asking for advice (which I plan to do shortly).
Back in the day, I used to do a lot of camping/backpacking/tramping, and I've got it in my blood. But sadly, in the last 10 years, I've only really done it like 4 or 5 times. And never in the hammock yet! I always go with other people, and it just makes sense to stay in a tent or hut if that's what they're going to be doing. So while I've made hammocks and tested them extensively in the back yard and dreamed of using them in the bush, I haven't actually done it yet. But recently, I've got my partner interested in it. So it might turn into reality.3
