DIY tyvek tarp a no-go at this station for me.

My first Tyvek tarp has Gorilla tape and grommets has about 15 nights on it, mostly becuase I was too lazy to take it down . Still holding up nicely and I should add the wind is rarely under 10 mph in my backyard at any given moment. And it has been snowed on more than once with me under it.

I didnt mean to sound like I was bragging I just wanted to state the addition of the gorilla tape at the ends is what made this all possible. I had the same problem you did on my side tieouts without the tape.

I find those grommets are often problematic. They are often the fail point on any tarp. I have found a supplier on EBay who sells tape-on loops, or for even cheaper (free) I use sheet bends on my UGLY tarp (pics on the DIY forum).
