Looks like a good start to mod-heaven. Would you stick with a full-on bug "bag" like that, or sew one onto the hammock? Zippers aren't that hard to add.

For the time being, I'm sticking with the full-enclosure net. I frequently hang a leg or two over the edge and would like to keep that ability, plus I'm still using a pad so the possibility exists of through-the-hammock butt bites.

The main ridge line is adjustable via the whoopie ends, and the underlying hammock suspension is adjustable via the whoopies binered to the alpine butterfly knots in the main line. I find that I lay more comfortably at about a 15-20 degree angle, so this setup allows me to choose the angle that fits best any given night and still retain the simplicity of a SLS.

And here's what keeps the tarp from sagging when I get in. These things are great. If you don't already have them, make them. Buy a 10 dollar exercise tube from Walmart and spend 30 minutes making them. You won't regret it.

    Questions? Comments? Snide remarks?
I'm new and have just been trolling around trying to pick up some info. I was just wondering if you could clarify a few things from your setup.

What kind of knot do you have in your whoopie slings that attach your s-binder's? I guess I don't really see how the tarp attaches to the lines exactly?
I'm guessing the black cord that goes from the hammock to the carabiner is some kind of continuous loop? What is the grey string that is also running between these points? looks like a second whoopie?

    General questions for other members:
Does it matter where I put the bungee/shockcords in the tarp tie outs (closer to the stakes or the corners of the tarp)?
Would you also ever put shockcords on the tarp ridgelines as well to provide a bit of give on those lines as well?
    the setup looks great.
