30 mile section of PA AT

Me and a buddy of mine are going to be doing a 30 mile section of the AT. we will be starting at Rt. 225 and hiking through to I 81 June 8 - 10. at this point our plan is to stay at Peter Mnt shelter friday night (3.5 miles) then onto Rausch Gap shelter saturday night (18 miles) and finish up sunday (6 miles). if anyone would like to join use just let me know.

just wanted to add some more details if anyone is interested in joing us. we will be leaving the parking area on Rt 225 between 1:00 - 2:00 pm. after that we will start on the trail and work our way to I 81. again if anyone is interested let me know.

The campsite for Rausch Gap are right off the AT near the creek. I had an excellent nights sleep there 2 months ago. There's no real place to hang up by the shelter.

thanks for the info!! that is the great part about hanging. we are not as limited as the ground dwellers.

tell me about!!!! i wish that i could get out there sooner, but it was the first real weekend that me and my buddy could get together. if you think you will be there let me know.
