Which Quilt Hooks

I know this thread is 2 years old, but my question is closely related, so this seems the appropriate place...

I would like to sew 2 quilt hooks onto my WBBB to help keep my HG Incubator held in place at the critical points where my head and feet are. Has anyone tried to clip the little D-rings on this UQ to Dutch's aluminum quilt hooks? I want the hooks at the D-rings and not at the ends on the shock cord if possible. I just want to be sure that I can snap that D-ring on and off the hook without breaking anything, and that it can be reasonably expected to stay hooked all night. If they are a poor fit and the Tato Gear plastic hooks he sells work better I'm open to those as an alternative.

Anyone have experience with trying this with either hook? How did it work for you?

The little d-rings on the HG quilts do fit into the alum quilt hooks. They can also be bent slightly to accommodate if you think it's too tight of a fit.

Per the older discussion, I'd avoid the plastic ones, bought a bunch to use in misc applications and have had lots of them break. For my use mitten hooks are much more durable, and for sewing on the hammock the durability of the aluminum ones makes much more sense to me.
