    I am not a DIY guy, so i bought 2 texsport hammock stands. they come in 6 pieces, are made of tubular metal, supports my 375 lbs, and for only $60 each, it made life easy. even used one last night in my backyard

    I'm sure you already know, but make sure you call a utility locator before you dig holes for the posts. It is usually a free service. I speak from experience.

    Good to see you migrated over from WhiteBlaze. Welcome to the site, trust me when I say that everyone here is full of helpful information. If your up to a little DIY check out the TurtleDog Stand here and it's inspiration the TurtleLady Stand here. I use the TurtleLady Stand in my basement and have taken it on a 2 day camping trip. Not light weight, but it was the talk of the trip.
