Trail Days- May 18-19-20 Who's Going?

Trail Days in Damascus Va. is a tradition with a lot of us. I'm attending then heading to the Linville Gorge for the remainder of the week. Quite a few hammock vendors are scheduled to be there and a lot of us hangers are gonna be hanging around too! So which ones of you are planning to be at Trail Days 2012!?!?

Is there going to be a designated area for the forum members to hang?

Don't bet on the Vendor list they have published. They have Brian at OES listed, but when I spoke with him last week, he couldn't figure out why he was on there. They may just be republishing last year's list. Just a heads-up.

I think I want to go, but have not decided. I really, really, really don't like the new format. Last year was my first with the change (missed 2010) and maybe it is just an adjustment I need to make, but the new setup seems to make the event more cliquish than before. Folks tend to get into a group and not leave it. It used to be a wide open social event for like minded folks. Last year, it just seemed like a bunch of small house parties where few people ventured out to be part of the group as a whole.

Still it's Trail Days and so good to see old friends and hiking companions. Plus, rumor is they have funnel cake there.

Mac said Tree to Tree wasn't going to be there either but Mac will...as a participant. I got wind that Wilderness Logic's will be there though for the first time.
I had a blast last year and got to meet so many HF members. I'm bringing Detail Man, Tweekie and all three girls with me, they're hanging at my house!
