    Mamajamba tarp

how much room is left under the mamajamba tarp once you have the blackbird setup under there. if anyone has a picture, that would be handy.

Here's a pic of my superfly, which is the same (doors not being used). I set this up pretty steep, so it's not showing much extra space on either side.

Here are a few shots, these are Superfly's, but the doors are up and they are the same size as a MJ.

ok, thaks guys. Looks like plenty of room! when comparing the size of the tarp with the size of the hammock, it didn't seem there was going to be much room left over but I don't see any issues in the pictures.

    thank you again

Also, in my image above the side pullouts are not deployed, and there's a stiff breeze pushing on the left side. Looking forward to some porch mode setups in nice weather like raiffnuke shows!

yep, i like the porch! we don't get much rain where i am so i'm wanting something to create some shade. i mostly car camp when hunting and fishing so weight is not an issue to me.

Keep a few extra lines handy to put it into rain tarp mode when the weather turns to rain. I just got my MJ but my superfly can get angled down to great coverage when it's time to batten down the hatches for the really nasty storms. It's got great coverage.

I know you said you are not too worried about rain where you are, but you never know where life will take you.....and your hammock.

    You'll love it.

There is not a more accurate statement that that last one you made. I'm active duty Air Force and that is the main reason i went with the MJ. i can add a door kit to it if my next base takes me some place cold or rainy.

not sure if i mention that yet, i did go ahead and order it!

    Don't anyone tell my wife
