    Down UQ help

Would this plan that I used for my insultex UQ work for a down UQ, minus middle layer of course?

Somewhat. Your going to have around 8 to 10 chambers, so if your going to dart, you'll have more darts. But the overall sizing isn't bad.

How many darts? Do I need any on bottom layer (outside) or just on top layer?

To be honest, I've never darted my uqs. Here is a thread that Bloomgorge did of his uq. He has a pdf of his steps. He did add darts to his. This may help some. To be fair though, he has stopped using darts also.

Great, I'm good with no darts. Do you have any type of pattern for quilts you do?

Here are a couple that will help with baffles and making down quilts.

I have looked at both of these numerous times but unless I'm missing something aren't both of these for a TQ? I understand the basics of sewing the baffles but isn't there a lot of difference in design for a UQ so it doesn't flatten the loft when wrapped around hammock? Am I over thinking this?
