Talking I told myself I wouldn't do it

Post a "I got one too" thread, that is. But I can't help it. I'm really excited about sleeping in my Blackbird 1.7SL tonight. I tried it out with my 20* incubator yesterday morning and darn near fell asleep. Camping with the boy scouts should be a dream tonight!

I know it's not a Traveler night here in Nashville, but I'm trying to decide if it's a 1.7 SL or a 1.1 DL kind of a night? Since its in the backyard and I don't have to be concerned with weight I'm leaning towards 1.1 DL!

The volume of threads on this forum would drop 80% if the "I got one too" threads went away. So crow on - gives folks something to read, drool about, etc.

Right now all I can say is I got my boy a Walmart special, my girl an Academy Sports special and my wife a DD Frontline. No point in bragging about any of them since they are not mine.....But when my BB gets here I will join you in the "I got one too".

Slept in it two nights this weekend at our Spring Camporee. I skipped the tarp, as the weather was absolutely gorgeous. I love the shelf. Stowing all the crap from my pockets has been the biggest hassle with hanging so far. Not anymore.

The only issue I had was I kept finding my left shoulder right on the zipper. It didn't feel like I was too diagonal, but that was the only reason I could think that I was that far left. I'm a little wider than I would like to be, so maybe that was part of the problem as well.

Still figuring out how to get in with the zipper-side shock cord deployed. That's a little finicky.

Shugs video on youtube describes a very good method for getting in and out of the WBBB.

That link should take you right to the video at the time he is explaining the method. And a scary animal bug net face right after that lol!

Thanks, Deadphans. I had forgotten about that video (is there anything he hasn't covered?). I think I may have had it staked out down a hill a bit, which made it a little more cumbersome.
