Havent even had it for a week and managed to snag a hole in the bugnet of my BB? Anyone had this happen? What is the best fix for this?

If it’s a very small hole (3mm, quarter inch), a blob of kwik Grip, also known as contact adhesive, will do the job. Put a blob on the hole and on both sides of the screen and wait for it to be touch dry and then flatten the blob just a bit. This glue drys to be like rubber, not rock hard. I’ve done this four times, on two hammocks.

Mine were caused by the two zips. Now, before I pack the hammock away, I move both zips to one end of the hammock. I also put both pull out cords and shock cords inside the hammock, so that the cord locks are also at one end of the hammock. It was the zips, or cord locks that were causing the holes.

Needle and thread. I use small black thread, just cinch up the hole, and it blends in nicely.

I can't sew worth a darn, but with a little seam grip one can fix just about anything. There are other brands... I have used whatever was at the local hardware store as well to good effect. It works as a patch for a small hole or to hold a patch over a large one. I have mended a backpack, cargo pockets, shoes, sleeping pads, scout patches on uniforms, and sealing seams (which I think is what it is intended to do). It is usually stronger than the fabric.

Yep, I repaired a tiny hole in my HH bugnet with one of these (I think it was the Sil-Net version, but either would work)--

    Silnet

    Seam Grip

    Worked like a charm.

I ended up with a small hole in my HH also. I have only slept in it once.

Looks like some folks are suggesting this e6000 stuff as a sealer.

Anyone ever used this to seal?
