when I am putting mine away for a while I wash it and then dry it and then stuff it.....no issues to make note of.

if you are worried about excess moisture, you can put a little baby powder or similar powder in the stuff sack with the tarp....it works well

I will hang mine to dry for a minimum of several days then I store them unstuffed in a large maybe 40 gal plastic tote box.
