If I were your neighbor, I would say "hey buddy, your trees are too close together to get a good hang with that setup. Why don't we go have a real hang somewhere in the big piney woods."

But really, I'm jealous of that tarp; looks real sweet!

If neighbors ask about the 6x6 timbers in my yard I usually mumble about "the ritual" this works better than a fence.

Its hard to explain to people that, yes I am an adult, and yes I did camp out in the back yard last night! I always get alot of strange looks!

my neighbors stopped wondering about me years ago. in summer of '08 i would run out in the front yard when it started raining and set up my tarp wearing mitten, shorts and crocks (everything must pass the mitten test). i was getting ready for long hike and i guess they thought i should be committed, to my goal ).
