guyline lengths?

I bought a hundred feet of guyline along with my hammock and tarp from Warbonnet and I was jw the length I should make these guylines for my tarp it will have six tie outs and should they be like two 15' for attaching to the trees and four 5' or what... just wondering what you guys do. Btw this will be a no hardware set up

I have 6 footers on one side and 10 footers on the other. I then mark the ends so that I can tell which is which coming out of the stuff sack. The advantage in this comes when hiking in rugged mountains where you may pitch your hammock on th side of a slope. Place the longer guy lines on the downhill side and the shorter ones uphill.

Another advantage to dissimilar lengths is you. An set up in "porch mode" with the longer guy lines.

I have small loops attached because most of my setups are low and closed up! But I use mini S biners and extra line when I go porch mode ! I just keep them in my stake bag!

I use a CRL (continous ridgeline) for my tarp, it is 30ft long (10ft for the tarp length and then 10ft per side), and I use 8ft tie out's! I always carry some spare line in my pack if need be!

Our CRL is 30' finished length and the 2-line ridge line are 10' on each end. We make our guylines at 8' so that there is enough length to use in a "porch" setup.

I will ptobably end up doing a continuous ridgeline and tie it with prusiks

Just using the lines that were on my HH Hex. Think they are about 10'. Do carry a couple hanks of braided mason's line...think they are 20'ish each. I dont use a CRL as I cant be bothered with any extra hardware. My tarp is in snake-skins so very easy to hang with the stock lines and taught-line hitches.

I carry too much crap as it is!
