My son and I are going to the Adirondacks in mid-August. We had originally planned to climb just two peaks because of my knees. But he wants to bring his best friend with us and climb 6 or 7 peaks over two days.
So here is our plan. I'm going to bring my hammock with me in the day pack. Before we get to tree line we'll make a spot on our gps's that I can use to set up the hammock. We'll climb the first peak, then I'll return to the marked spot and take a nap in my hammock. After they finishing the other nearby peaks they will return to the spot and wake me up.
