New guy from Texas

Hello, Just wanted to take a moment and say hello. I'm in the DFW area of Texas and enjoy hiking and camping. Reggie (my boxer) goes with me on all my outings and from time to time one of my two boys will come along. The wife doesn't care much for the trails, but I'm working on her. I've been carrying my portable hammock around for years, but just bought a new HH expedition. After using a hammock tent, I just don't understand why anyone would want to sleep on the ground

Recently have been doing some local day hikes in the area (Fort Worth Nature Center.) I look forward to being an active part of the forum and hope to meet some others that love to hammock as much as I do. Here are a few pics (not really any of the hammock, but some pics all the same)

Welcome to HF from a fellow North Texan. I'm just down the road from SouthFork Ranch (near Plano) and Lake Lavon. You've been hanging longer than me...it took me a while to figure out I'd be more comfortable suspended over the ground, rather than lying on it!
