    I do not think that I have seen that many snakes in my life let alone in one trip.

    Snake road is actually just a colloquialism. It's called Larue Road, in the Pine Hills wilderness within Shawnee NF. There are bluffs on one side and a swamp on the other; fantastic snake habitat.
