    Dangerbird question

Is there a designated head or foot end on this hammock?

I don't think so. If the overcover is deployed I lay my head closer to where zipper closes up the overcover and the lay the opposite if the bug net is out. Reseaon being, so you don't have to reach all the way out by your feet to unzip the oc or the net.

    I hope this makes sense

Makes perfect sense and I was hoping that was the case. I have one on order and didn't think to ask when I placed the order.

    Thanks for the info!

I believe the overcover end (end where the overcover is deployed from) is the head end. I tried laying in my new one last night in every percievable position and this seems to be definitely asymetrically cut. Papsmurf would be the last say in the matter for sure, but the hammock to me did not lay correctly with my head at the netting end.

The head end changes depending on whether you want the overcover or netting deployed. You simply lay with your feet towards the cover you wish to use. It is symentric shaped (simple rectangle). The zippers are always closed over your head. Hope this helps.

Hmm, I will have to try again it seems. When I did that last night it didn't feel right to me. Thanks for the heads up Randy...

The hammock may be symmetric, but normally gathered end hammocks are hung with the foot end higher than the head end by several inches. So perhaps this was the issue you ran into.

    Cheers
