Hello all. I've recently found out how much I sleep in a hammock than in a tent and I think I've got the bug. There may times when I revert to a tent but I think for the most part I'll be sticking with a hammock.
Right now I have a Grand Trunk ultralight hammock that I'm using. I'll probably upgrade this sooner or later to something a little nicer or maybe even make my own.
Currently I'm in the process of deciding how I want to redo the suspension to get rid of the heavy "S" hooks that came with the hammock. All the opitions are a little overwhelming. My biggest priorities are keeping it as simple and light as possible without spending more than I have to.
I am also planning to order a MacCat deluxe fly as soon as I can get a response back from Brian at OES. I think that as far as coverage, weight, price and versatility it is the way to go.
Other than that I'm just looking forward to hanging around and learning what I can while hopefully adding a little to site as well.
