First, I wish I found this forum in 2010 before my trip, This Hammock Forum is pack full of information, it would have saved me from making many mistakes.
Last July 2010 I bought a Hennessy Deluxe Explorer A-sym from a recommendation from a friend ( Atlas Rider ). I also carried a Oregon Bed Roll, which I ended up using it a couple of times as a pad for the Hammock to keep my but from getting cold.
Last August 2010 on my yearly motorcycle trip I took my first Hammock with me. After 6,000 miles, I hanged my hammock many time, sometimes it workout and many times did not. I even tried hanging from my motorcycle and a tree, no it did not work.
August 2011 there were less mistakes and I choose to camp more times than catch a hotel, just because of how much I enjoyed using my Hammock.
This years trip is going to be great and I can't wait to use my Hammock, with the new knowledge I'm learning from this Forum and the modification from 2QZQ on my Hammock.
