Awesome to hear. So does this mean you are not going to ground?

Hopefully! But before investing in more hammock gear, specifically a 0° Incubator for winter, I'm going to wait until I field test my current setup. I'm heading out next weekend for a 4-day, low-mileage solo trip just to hang out and do nothing...a perfect test for the hammock! If all goes well and I don't miss my tent, I'll probably use the hammock 90% of the time. Don't want to give up my tent completely.

Some nice setup videos here. The first one shows the Blackbird setup and at the 5:00 mark Brandon shows his preferred slack in the ridgeline.

Old school thread! I had to bump this after using my 1.1DL Blackbird on a trip recently. I don't use it often since I typically camp when the bugs are not out.

I can't believe this was 6 years ago! Before I knew the term "calf ridge". Anyway, I slept great on this trip...probably better than ever before. It's amazing how a slight tweak in your setup can make all the difference. I love this hammock and will be getting a lighter version of it soon.

It's great seeing some of these old threads come back to life since there's so much reference info here on HF. IMO, I'd rather see that then another new thread started asking the same old questions...
