    Warm Window Material

Was looking in a fabric store the other day and found this product. Its really just two layers of mylar, two layers of insulation (polyester?) one of which also has mylar shreds in it, on a poly cloth backing with sewn in baffles. Wondering if anyone has tried to use it to make an UQ or if it would be of any use as an UQ. It comes in different widths and I think it's a little on the expensive side, but being new at this I don't really know.
There website does not describe the stuff very well but it gives an idea. It was at Joanns that I found it and I'm sure that other places carry it as well.

Not sure if the lack of an response means no one knows or no one cares.

I had hoped someone had some experience out incite with the material but I guess not. If I have any success with it I will update here.

I bought a 4 x 5' piece of it I use as an "extra blanket" to supplement my poncho liner top quilt. It's really warm when you have it close to you because of the radiant reflecting qualities, I suppose. It doesn't seem to work as well between the underquilt and the hammock, but adds more warmth as a supplement to the top quilt, I found, in testing it at 35 F. My only complaint tho is it doesn't breath very well. It must breath some because you can blow through it.

This has been discussed quite a bit...a search will turn up a number of threads. Here's one.
