    Another test hang

Spent my second and third nights in my new Exped Friday and Saturday nights with great results. The first night temps only got down to around 57 and it was disappointing that the expected rain never materialized but with my 20 degree bag and pad it slept comfortably.

Saturday saw temps dip to around 50 and the sound of a light rain woke me briefly around 3:00 am then drifted back to sleep. Sunday saw steadier rain so I spent an hour or so lying in the hammock reading and was happy to see everything stayed dry with the tarp hung fairly high but then there was no wind. The tarp was on a separate ridgeline so I could practice taking down in the rain and the snakeskins worked like a charm. It's still hard to believe how well I sleep in this thing and can't wait to head out for a week in May.

Good news to hear! Nice to have it feel comfortable right away like that!

I'm sure there will continue to be tweaks as time goes by such as tarp adjustments, hanging height, pad positioning, probably and underquilt eventually etc. but the feeling of being off the ground has been great from the first day l laid down in it. Eight nights on the AT next month should be a great shakedown.

LOL. Don't usually hear "only got down to 57" and "disappointed that it didn't rain" when talking about camping. I'm going to test again tonight-- supposed to be in the upper 40's with a chance of showers.

Upper 40's with showers certainly sounds like a fair test. Good luck and sleep well!
