    Question help with covers?

Sooooo, now that i have all the structural components built I have a big question, how do i weatherproof this?

I want to make a cover, weight isn't too much of an issue, but i could really use some advice on what materials would be good and what would be the cheapest...

my hope is to leave this up year round so i was thinking of getting canvas and weathproofing it once a year or so... any ideas?

Note: ive sent some notes to sail makers that sell used sails...

i'll need a lot of fabric roughly 12'x24' (well its really a half circle with a 12' radius

watch out for those sails- although a few years back spinnaker (spinn) was a popular tarp fabric, they've changed the way they make it, which doesn't affect it as a sail, but does make it not waterproof for tarps.

    Awesome job, SurfinBirdman.

Still haven't found a frame that's anywhere near this size.

All of them are either the smaller exercise tramps or the typical 12'+ trampolines. No 8' frames in sight.

I think it would be hard to sleep with how often my dog jumps on and off the bed and resituates himself

I have a floating bed hammock available never been used I believe its the queen size round hammock... Still in box has the tan padding around the rail on it. Have had it in my garage for years. Have no where to hang it.

    1. What type of rope did you use?
I went with some amsteel blue since it'll be outside
    2. How many ropes did you use?
I used the amsteel to lash (and replace the springs) and then i used the amsteel on each leg bracket
    3. Did you every find a cover for it?
I made the cover from an old sail that I was able to pick up for $20 at a sailboat
    4. What type of padding did you put down?[/QUOTE]
I made a circular quilt that was pretty thick in padding

    Thanks for the reply.
Do you have any more pictures of the project with the padding on it?

Roughly how long did it take to build? I want to have it ready by XMAS. Atleast the raw frame and stand with it hanging.
Any other tips are most appreciated.

I realize I'm way late to this thread but had input for the tramp. Of course if you can find one on craigslist that would be ideal, but if the bug bites ya & you want it now they carry those 8' tramps with the side frame & netting for reasonable. I bought two of them over the years at Sam's Club (no affiliation). I think the first time it cost $100., second time, for grandkids, was maybe $150. to the best of my memory which can't be trusted. As far as the big box discount stores I seem to think they don't have them all the time but they do show up a few times a year. Anyway, just a thought.
