    Bug net without thread injector...

I'm down in buggy Florida and I'm pretty new to hammock camping and a buddy and I are going up to Ocala in a few weeks. I have all my gear set up but I was looking into a bug net. I'm leaving for marine corps recruit training a a month or so and I don't want to spend too much money. So to get tithe point, I'm looking for any ideas for a bug net that I can put together without any sewing involved. I'm willing to put out the money for no-see um nettin and I have some shock cord hanging around, but I don't have access to a sewing machine anymore. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Welcome aboard neighbor. PM me. If your willing to drive over to Lakeland you can borrow my extra bugnet, it's a bottom entry and will work on just about any hammock.

    ^ thats pretty awesome.

If its just for a short trip consider velcro and fabric adhesive. Maybe a few hand stitches to keep everything secure

If you're buying the material anyway, get enough to roll the edges and bind it with staples or paperclips and you can make a Fronkey style bug net with bottom entry. That's not a long term solution but for the time being it would work. You can pick up a really small stapler at Walmart or any office store most likely. Also, if you have any Dollar Trees or similar stores in your area that sell everything for $1 you might be able to find one there. That way you could take it with you for field repairs without a huge weight penalty.

A couple of evenings in front of the tv and you can sew it by hand. You don't need but a stitch every 1/2" or so anyway...
