    "Heel Pressure" in WBBB

Last night I was out testing my WBBB again. After a short time my feet were uncomfortable, specifically pressure on the backs of my heels. I assume it is from the foot end not being hung high enough, and maybe I was sort of holding myself up with my feet without really noticing it. Or too high and tension was pushing my feet up...I couldn't really tell. I should have readjusted but decided to hit the bed since I couldn't sleep anyway (crazy barking dogs).

Any WBBB owners know what I'm describing?

I don't have a WBBB but I do understand the pressure you feel. I always ball up something, extra clothes or even use my emptied pack to put under my knees. I find that makes me far more comfortable and takes away that pressure you mentioned.

I always put something under my knees too. Give that a try.

I have had it from time to time in all my gathered hammocks. I started using a Thermarest Sit Pad....http://www.rei.com/product/780983/th...rest-lite-seat as foot insulation with my UQ and I put it inside my TQ under my feet. Takes care of it!

Thanks for the suggestions. I used my pillow which seems to help the ridge under my left knee. I still feel like there's too much tension under my heels, like there's weight on the top of my feet or something pushing down. I may do a test tonight and see...this could be a deal-breaker for me. I sure hope not! I'll also try a semi-fetal position.

You might try hanging it a little looser. The ridge under my leg only bothers me when I have the hammock hung too taut. Might be the same issue with your heels.

I'm noticing heel pressure more and more in my gathered's, after 10 days or so, the backs of my heels are actually bruised and swollen.

Its made me stop full time hammock sleeping which is a good thing as I look forward to getting out more

yeah,, this is the issue with gathered ends it seems. not sure any model / manufact. solves it.

probably why the for sale forum is so active here.

That's too bad I don't think I'll be so quick to sell this time around, but may have to look at lightening my load with a lighter tent. Ohhhhhhhhh man!
