I have used one of these a few times with the new Exped 7 UL Downmat. All is fine except that downmats are a bit fat to fit into the Hotspot. Even with the stretchy material on the back it would not let a fully inflated downmat lay completely flat. It will only lay flat if the pad is slightly under inflated. I tend to keep mine fully inflated for maximum R value and getting a flat lay. It gets one more chance before I cut it open and widen it with a Velcro enclosure to make it easier to get the pad into.
