    tech line from DIY Gear

What do you all use it for? I bought a hank of it while I was getting other gear just because it sounded cool I know it says you can use it for a Hammock Ridgeline but can you? What other stuff you use it for?

I used it for an adjustable ridge line and it worked great. It splices just fine. I also used some as lanyards for toggles. I sewed a loop into the working end of my tree straps and ran the tech line loop through it. My toggles are 4" long solid aluminum rods that I drilled a hole into for the lanyard loop. It seems to hold knots really well so it could be useful for many more things I would think. Just have to keep in mind how knots degrade strength rating.

Which size are you using? The smaller I wouldn't use for a ridgeline, but the thicker (I think it's 1.9?) I have used for a ridgeline and it works great...

I got the 1.9. Wouldnt think you could use such a small size but I guess it holds itself pretty good.

It has a 480 lbs breaking strength and is plenty strong for a ridgeline. The amsteel that came on your WBBB is overkill +++.

I forgot there were two sizes. I got the 1.9 too. I am over 250lb, and it never flinched even when I had the angles wrong and pulled it pretty tight. Ideally there shouldn't be very much tension on it in the first place.
