To not have that be that way, I would have to move way out to the suspension, which is where the UQ would be attached anyway, so I don't see what purpose the thingy is serving at that point.
Adding a ridge-line to the NX made this easier for me. Per guidance of Hangnout, originator or the triangle support, in his video at leighlounderquilts.com, up and wide is the way to support UQs. For now, for me, the ridge-line one does it, wrapped around each of a pair of mini-biners acting as a prusics to locate them fore and aft.

I have an Arrowhead New River full length UQ and it works perfectly. I take 4 mini-biners or Dutch Biners and clip the UQ loops to the Clark go-to-ground stake-out loops on the sides. It snugs up perfectly and leaves the pockets completely accessible. I also have the z-liner. For winter camping (below 20 degrees F.) I use them both. A couple of nights ago I got down to 27 F. with just the Z-Liner a JRB 3 season TQ, and a pair of light sweats. I was comfortable, but I don't think I would have been able to get much colder without starting to get a little chilly on the bottom.

When the funds allow, I plan on getting a down UQ, simply for the packability.

Stuffing the pockets may work for some... I just don't carry enough stuff to do it and I don't like the thought of putting leaves our other things in my hammock... I don't want to even touch the ground with it

I have been disappointed in Clarks claim about the pockets. I too will be gettiing a full length underquilt. And a TQ. The z liner isn't something I'd waste my $ on.

I just received my Z-Liner, but haven`t received my hammock yet. It should be here in the next day or two.

When I opened the box I was surprised that the loft is not what I expected. They`re not down so each one is only about an inch thick. As soon as I receive my hammock I`ll get them installed and see how they perform.

My New River came in today and I tried it out for a bit this evening... It is so warm, fits perfectly on my nx-250... highly recommend it! (I got the long version... it covers all of me and is still quite light IMHO... better than my sleeping bag at least!
