But seriously folks... I'm going to add a line on both ends of mine to go to ground stakes. Or you could stake the third legs of the tripods. Either one oughtta anchor that puppy.

Thanks for the help on the pics!

Since this is not a weight-conscious stand I thought of those screw-in dog-chain anchors with one directly under each tripod and use a figure 9 to crank it down tight. This would also alleviate the possibility of it walking on you.

Thanks for the help everyone! Version 1.1 will have the tops correctly angled and version 2.0 is going to be the triple hammock tri-tripod!

Also - love the Canvas carrying Case! I need to make that next!

Nice! Needs a shoulder strap though...

Be sure to ask people to guess what's in the bag.

Ok, this the next addition to the TurtleDog stand needs to be some sort of "tarp slide" to go over the peak of the tripods. My Noah 12 is longer than the stand so its need a way to drape over the top and tie off to an anchor point on the back leg...

    Let the creativity start!....

Cut the bottom off of a plastic 1/2 gal. milk carton?????

    Or a plastic flower pot.

Nice, but why the pipe as the rainfly support rather than just using a length of paracord?

The only place to attach a ridgeline for a tarp would be a leg of the tripod. This doesn't work well because tightening the ridgeline pulls the tripods in. I get by with this on my large setup by loosely tying the ridge pole to the back leg of the tripods. Just enough to hold against the tarp pull.

Also, why not use the pipe? It's already there and at the right height.
