I drilled a hole right through the center of the bottom of the feet and ran para cord. I don't think it compromises the integrity of the structure because the holes are toward the bottom of the stand. I wouldn't personally put them in the center of the legs, but toward the bottom it seems to be no problem. I just tried to make sure the foot spread was the same, but I did that by putting them side by side and getting the tops even and that was about it.
As far as spread, I'm actually not sure what I ended up with. I just eye balled it.
I think I got it!! Well at least for my regular hammock.

Looking much better with the legs out a little more.
Have you tested it yet? If still a little unstable, go out a few inches more on each leg, but no more.
Also, be careful if testing outside in wind. The hammock tends to become a sail, so anchoring the TDS would be advisable.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
Looks like ENO put up a picture of a bunch of TD stands on Instagram. No proper credit though.
Edited for spelling

Indeed.
To the instagram page, I just added:
"Nice colors. Credit to "Turtlelady" and "Olddog" from the Hammockforums for the design of the tri-pod stands!"
The eno page suggests the picture was from Levi Arnold.

Yes. I wrote this pretty early on in the post.
"These are a design created on #hammockforums known as the #turtledogstand"
Hey guys, I built my stands last night. Before I cut my poles, a quick question. I see mostly 12' and 13' poles. I'm using a 11' superfly Has 12' given ya'll enough room for the tarp to function properly or should I go 13'. I'll be posting pictures tonight.
I've read through the whole thread by the way. Can't remember if the answer to my question is on page 57 or 221 lol.
