I have a question to all of the stand users. When you setup your tarp, does it really sag when you get in your hammock? I noticed mine does I'm not sure why?? I am currently using a Kelty Noah 12

Your ridge pole may be bowing up from compression, which will shorten it making your tarp sag.

Well, that depends. Is your tarp over or under the ridge pole? I've done both and it doesn't sag either way, really.
It would help to see a picture of how it's all rigged, esp with it sagging.

I have it over my ridge pole. I'm not sure of when I'll get it set up again. I did have a pic of it from the spring MAHA this year in my gallery. I know it didn't help that the ground was very soft there were a couple of time when the wind was at it's worst, my stakes came out of the ground. I didn't notice if my ridge pole deflected upward or not. It is kind difficult when you are on your own to take pics from a smart phone.
I am thinking of trying the angular modification to the 2x2's and adding carabiners to the ridge pole prusiks. I think I'm catching that diy bug that is going around
Thanks folks got mine done as I don't have trees in the yard. Great help in setting things up and testing prior to the trail. Much thanks.

Is that an WBBB XLC? I was wondering if it would fit a 10 ft fence post.
WBBB XLC on 11.5 post

Ahhh...so you bought 2 pieces of 10 ft fence pole and made the 11.5 length?
Yes sir. Was shooting for 12 but forgot the one piece slipped inside the other causing me to loose some inches. But it seems to be working for what I was needing it for.
