    Best 2 person hammock?

I'm relatively new to Hammock camping. I am not sure if all these companies that make a 'double' model for a hammock are designed for two people or if they are just double with for one bigger person. For instance, the ENO Doublenest. What is a good hammock for two people?

The double layers in hammocks are generally used for a bigger person. There really isn't any comfy two person hammocks. Although, Clark has some good reviews on there.

My suggestion it to get two hammocks and just hang close by to whomever you are hanging with. You can even configure your tarp(s) to make one big one for the both of you.

I can't imagine 2 people trying to sleep in a hammock. They would have to be VERY close friends.

There is a guy on the forums here who made a two person bridge hammock. I'll look for a link when I get a chance.

While not exactly a hammock, the Floating Bed is probably your only option...

It is, obviously, NOT portable, however.

If this is an indoor situation, then a VERY large bridge hammock could potentially work. But removing the legs of a trampoline and suspending that in the air by a big hook screwed into a solid stud in your ceiling.... might yield more desirable results for something planned to be inside your home.

A VERY large bridge hammock could also work for a portable outdoor situation, as well.... just think it would be more difficult to make such a wide hammock from fabric found at a fabric store.

Clark Vertex is made for 2 people but I think it would be cheaper to get two single hammocks and set up side by side

Two _Clarks_ are not that different in price than the Vertex. I was just running those numbers today. Of course you can get two hammocks for far less but you are comparing apples and oranges there.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I once heard a comedian say "if you get in a hammock with somebody, you better be married to them"
