Hi everybody! I have a few questions that maybe you can answer. The other day I went to salvation army and found a piece of ripstop that measures 5 feet wide and at least 20 feet long, haven't measured length yet, cost was $1.60. How do you tell the difference between 1.1oz. 1.7oz., etc. Also I am concerned about the width, do you think the material is wide enough to make a comfortable hammock? I was thinking of building a stretch side hammock with this material. Anybody got any suggestions? This hammock would be built for winter camping, no bug netting. Thanks.
