Hello hangers, I was hoping that you guys could answer a question of mine. Being well within the seize limitation of the HH scout, is there any benefit to shelling out $60 more and going for the Expedition?

the length and weight limits are different. where do you fall?

5'4" 120 lbs. I'm the compact, fuel efficient model.
I have both the Scout and the Expedition. I am 5'10" 170lb. Both are comfortable but the Scout wraps around my shoulders more. doesnt bother me, I am not claustrophobic. The Expedition gives alot more room inside.
I would pay the extra money. I would also HIGHLY recommend doing the upgrade to the HEX tarp when ordering! It provides at least three times the coverage as the stock tarps!
I may opt for the scout just as a price issue. Can the hex tarp be used with the snakeskins Hennessy provides?
I dont know. I keep my tarp by itself in the snake skins, and the hammock is packed in the stuff sack by itself. I do not attach my tarp to the hammock suspension but rather directly to the tree.
Would you mind trying it out and getting back to me?
Just a reminder...the Scout is not an Asym hammock, the Expedition is. If that matters to you dkdaniel.
Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.
I'm pretty sure that's just an industry buzz word that doesn't mean much
I am not sure, the lay in them is totally different. I think you could fit hammock with Hex tarp in the snake skins but dont know why you would want to. If the tarp is wet and you pack it with your hammock you will then have a wet hammock.
Much nicer to hang the tarp first then you can work under that to hang your hammock.
