    learning curve

Yup there is a learning curve to hangin'. This weekends lesson, loosen the prusik knot on the HH 'cause when you hang it and try to pull the hammock tight if the tarp is stretched tight the prusik takes up the pressure and the hammock swings loose under the tarp, but the tarp is nice and taut. Make sense?

I slept well again! I used the WM egg crate pad and it made a difference sleeping at BSA camp Ten Mile River NY. Although it was pretty funny wrestling with the pad and sleeping bag trying to get them in place.

Sounds like you worked out the bugs. Our boys did scout camp in June and I got to live in my HH. My tarp and hammock are in separate snake skins in case I need to hang the tarp first in the rain, then the hammock while being nice and dry under the tarp.
