    DIY Tyvek Stuff Sacks Idea

I picked up a couple FedEx envelopes (large and small sizes). They are made from Tyvek, and of course I had the idea to make a stuff sack from them.

I just got them this morning. After getting home I did a quick search and found this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyYuET-UOEk. Of course, it really is hard to have a truly original idea these days. I'm thinking I'll have a go at it with some adhesive or Tyvek tape instead of the needle & floss as in the video.

I just thought I'd share the idea and collect other's thoughts.

    Aren't they already stuff sacks?

That's one of my favorite sites BTW, but they phoned it in on this one. They could use some tape and make a cooler sack.

If you want to make one to a specific size, a square bottom with a little more sewing...

The admin assistant in our office who opens the mail is on standing orders to save used tyvek envelopes that come in. I've used them to make stuff sacks and I also made a nice set of mitten covers.

I mad a few "organizing bags" out of them. fold the edges over some 550 cord and gorilla tape the channel shut , and you sir are done . Im just about to retire mine after a year. they also work good for collecting snow or water from a creek to boil.
