Hey all, Im glad to finally be able to call myself a Hammock camper and join this community. I have just gotten back from my first trip with a hammock, the ENO Pronest. I was worried because I weigh 250 lbs, and its so lightweight and tiny. It worked great. I use a custom Bugnet over it and a 8x10 rectangle tarp over it. I was very pleased with its preformance.
Are there any other heavier guys out there that have found other hammocks comfortable for them too?

Welcome to the site! I'm 74" tall and fluctuate between 285 and 300 depending on how much hiking I do.So far, an ENO or TrekLight Double has been the only comfortable hammock for me thus far. I have a DD Travel Hammock on the way, someone told me I'd really like these so he sent me his to try out. Should be here tomorrow, we'll see.
I have a HH Safari Deluxe rated to 350 lbs. I am around 240 or so atm. I find it very nice although I am working on a DYI bridge that could be extremely comfortable if I could only get the hang of getting out of it. (I have some mobility issues.)

I looked at HH, and I just dont think i could get away from the sit on top hammocks: i just like a classic hanger
2Q's wife installs zippers in the HH and makes it a top loader.
HH is the only true A-sym that I am aware of. I really ;like that about it. Plus it meets some very specific mobility needs I have.

I'm a bridge hanger but of all the gathered end hammocks I've had and used, I'd have to say the Hennessy is probably the most comfortable. I'm only 5'7 but would like to see how a longer Hennessy such as a Explorer Ultralight would feel. I own a BBUL and had a Hyperlight and Expedition.Originally Posted by Ramblinrev

My Trecklight holds up and I push the 400 on the 400 rating. It handles it without complaints!
im about 250 and i love my doublenest!! i feel very comfy just jumping in after set up.
