Dang! I ordered mine on May 5th (nine days ago) and it's STILL 175 miles from here!

I don't have much use with these yet, but once you get in the 11' long range, it's hard not to find comfort.

First impressions...both of these fabrics have more stretch than I expected out of material this heavy. That's not to say this is negative in any way. The crinkle taffeta has an ever so slightly better feel against skin. The plain poly may have a slightly better lay for me.

Both are very comfortable and will be good where weight does not matter. Better than my various weight ripstop hammocks of the same length? Not really, just a little different.

The most outstanding feature of these is the low cost for a hemmed "blank". All you have to do is lash the ends and larks head on a suspension of your choice and you're good to go with no sewing. I would suggest the 60"x126" versions for this "ready to use" option as the 90" wide have a lot of excess fabric and in my opinion do not improve comfort without lots of additional length.

    I wish they had a 60"-64"x132" size.

    Thanks for the review :-)
Yes, I'm sure many ppl would find the smaller size more practical. I, for one, really like the extra fabric. I had been getting annoyed with my mayan's narrowness and lack of warmth in the winter...even though it stretches, it's not great when you're 6'5". I ordered the 90" x 13' in burgundy. I can't wait to hang it(I haven't threaded the paracord yet). I'm gonna make it as long as possible. Will take pictures .

Tableclothsfactory.com has free shipping for another 4 hours tonight (11:59pm PST).

I received one of the 60"x126" polyester crinkle taffeta versions yesterday and got to hang for a while last night and this evening. This has the most comfortable lay of any of the hammocks I have and I have no idea why. Just the right fabric and size for me I guess. You can bet that I will not change the way I have the ends folded and whipped.

I ordered two more with the free shipping just to set back for the future.

gmcttr, did I miss the 60"x132", or did you mean 90"x132" (or maybe 60"x126")? I'm waiting on a 60"x126" version, and I'm glad to hear all the positive reports.

If I may ask, what was your folding/whipping technique which is so successful? I might have to try it myself!
It's bad luck to be superstitious.

You must have missed it in my dreams. I seem to screw up every time I post in this thread. It was the 60"x126" and I fixed it in my previous post.

I don't know how much (if any) the folding/whipping pattern I used contributed to the comfort, but it worked for me this time. Here's a crude sketch....

Just a heads up. I just got my 90x132 in Sage Green. It's quite bright!

I guess as it's a decorative item and not a "camping" item, the colors are going to be "festive."

I don't mind but just fyi. This bad boy is iridescent. Can't wait to rig it up!
