I've been searching for some discussion about, or information on, a hammock with permanently built-in insulation below the hammock itself (as opposed to an add-on underquilt) and have found nothing. Am I a bad searcher or does the idea have such obvious (to others) drawbacks that nobody even considers the idea.?
It seems to me that the concept should offer significant potential for increased thermal efficiency, reduced weight, and lower overall cost. Am I missing the downside or the links?
