This should probably belong to hammocking News, but I cant post there.
Today, at work, I had a look at whats new at Exped for 2009.

Hammock, 2,90x1,40m, doubled bottom with zippered compartment to fit any Exped mat. Sleeves on both ends to fit sticks/hiking-poles for spreading the hammock.
Sewn-on netting with a zip along the whole lenght of one side. Sticks or segments of hiking-poles can be inserted to give a maximum of headroom.
    Max load 150Kg
    Weight complete 1490gr

Yes, but does it have a structural ridgeline?

Just kidding... hey thanks for the info. I'll look forward to your review, (with pictures, right?).

Anyone know how much that is in $$? Or even if it will ever be available here?

I have an Exped wallcreeper, and love it. I would like to try out a hammock by them!

That's about $155 at the exchange rate of the Euro to Dollar (been 'stable' for 3 months).

Exped has always had availability of their other products in the US, so hopefully this will make its way over here too!

I was looking at the Exped Scout DLX hammocks here (in German) and it looks very interesting.

I had to make a bad xeroc of Exped´s flyer at work and the at home I scanned this one, so the pic is far from good.
The hammock is the "Scout hammock DLX" and the tarp the "Scout tarp Extreme", as they say in the original text. So its not asymmetric and has probably no ridgeline.
They also do a new sleeping bag, the "Loft 250". Weighing in at ca 900gr in size large, it is is sewn-through and has a zippered head-hole for use as a poncho. I ordered one, too.
Not having to pay retail is quite nice sometimes

I located one retailer here in the United States that was selling the Hammock and net combined for $150.00 US or 96.78 Euros. Could not find the tarp at all. Anyone else have any better luck??

Maybe we have to have oetzi do a group buy for us in Germany, and ship them all!
