top or bottom

Just scored a down blanket from JCP at a rummage sale today for just a "thank you" !!!! So now the delimmea begins , Top quilt or bottom quilt

I've already made a bottom quilt and It works nice but dosent compress the greatest . Should I start over and make a winter UQ or DIY a TQ . I feel like I just got given a million bucks and now I dont know what to do with it

Im not a real cold or hot sleeper if that helps any and weight is not really an issue thanks to my roller pack.

What would you do ? Thanks in advance - BOB

If it were me I would do the uq first. Can always use the other as a tq or even a sleeping bag as a tq but a good uq is worth more to me. But that is just me.

I have to agree with the UQ. Its easy to find something to pass as a TQ, like a sleeping bag, pile your clothes on you, use some other blankets, etc, but a good UQ is absolutely essential.
