I currently have one of those on the head end of my tarp. I find it works well, but I am going to switch to lighter line, and it will be too big (I currently use it on a paracord type braided line). I do like it, but I would like to switch to something a little less weighty.

Dutchware, you say? I may need to try that.

+1 on wasting money. I bought them for my tarp but they're big, heavy and chew up cordage. I immediately switched to zing-it and tarp flyz. My cord is permanently attached to the tarp to the carabiner didn't do anything for me either. But I can see use for them in other applications so I'll keep them in my Jeep just in case.

I had the smaller ones for my tarp tie-outs - waste of money - I just use knots now. They tended to slip on Amsteel.
