Research for first tarp for me.

I,ve set my eyes on MacCat series of tarps, love stealth grey looks of it.
But also I,m open for other tarp alternatives.
Just at this time I,m researching optimal tarp options.
Looking for summer, probably 3 season hexagonal catenary cut tarp, if I understood right that this type tarps ar best for hanging in hammocks.
I,ll probably pull trigger in march or april just for spring and summer,
and also for those who ships these tarps to Europe or more precisely to Latvia because if cheap basic camping hammock with bug net can be bought in Latvia but no one offering quality tarps here.

Hexagonal tarps are great for saving weight and using less stakes. They are good for all but blowing rain. If you think you might experience this, a rectangular tarp gives you better coverage. Definitely catenary, no matter which direction you go.
We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869

You'd better hurry....It's looks like Brian is closing up shop to pursue other interests. I've got a MacCat Deluxe I've been using for the past 3 years. I just picked up a 4-season in green from another HF member and haven't had a chance to use it yet. The design and construction on both products are excellent. You might get lucky and find a lightly used one 2nd hand here on the forums. Just keep your eyes open.

most places will ship any where, you'll just have to pay the shipping (and any customs fees)

There are plenty of tarp options out there- if you desperately want an OES tarp now is the time to try and get one, but he might be down to seconds now. If you aren't sure what kind of tarp to get, have a look at the other companies out there.

(you can find some vendors in the bottom half of the main forum page.)
