    Compression Bishop Bag

I'm tired of breaking my sleeping system apart every morning just to put it together again in the evening. My plan is to get a silnylon compression bag and use it as a Bishop Bag. My winter system is a HH UL Explorer, Winter Yeti, and a 3 Season Burrow.

The question is, What size bag? I realize that I could just go to REI and test the sizes, but where is the fun in that? Anyone out there with a similar system use a large bishop bag?

Check out the Lazy Slug Tube at Wilderness Logic's.
And watch this video of it being used with an EVent compression sack. It's at about 6:22.

I use a Bishop Bag and leave my UQ attached but I don't use a compression Bishop Bag. I just pack the bag in my pack (usually near the bottom) and let it flow into the corners and get compressed by the gear on top. A little pushing on the upper gear helps. Works like a charm, saves weight (no compression straps or buckles) and fully uses the bottom of the pack without hard lumps. You might consider this approach.

I use a pack liner so I use a plain nylon bag for the Bishop Bag.

+1 on the LST. I made a DIY version of that, and it's the easiest way I've found--yet--to pack up all of my stuff.

However, when you first hang your hammock, it might be a little more difficult than otherwise due to the weight of the insulation already attached. It's worth getting used to in the yard (as with all new gear) before bringing it out into the woods.

Check out Doctari's set-up. He keeps all his insulation and hammock together in one sack!

Do the same myself, UQ hooked up and sleeping bad in the hammock. It works nicely, I just stitched up a sack myself for it. Hanging it takes a wee bit of practice but it works a treat if you use a ridgeline.
