Jacks 'R' better is proud to introduce the Ultra Light Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock. This UL version of the BMBH retains the lay flat, lay straight characteristics of the original BMBH Deluxe. The weight is reduced seven ounces when using the included spreader bars. The UL BMBH now comes with a separable webbing suspension, the pad pocket is eliminated and the bottom is redesigned to be 4 inches less deep. The four under quilt attachment loops are also eliminated so that the under quilt now attaches directly to the secondary suspension rings. Weight of the Hammock, Suspension Straps, and Spreader Bars is just under two pounds.

For the gram weenies with their own favorite UL suspension and the right hiking poles for spreader bars the trail weight of the hammock including bug net and two internal personal gear pockets is 19.5 ounces.

Hi Pan, am looking forward to seeing one of these some day. Was the statement about depth above achieved by using a shallower suspension curve, a narrower body, or a combination of the two?

Mine will be here on Friday and I will be testing it out all weekend.
I loved the BMBH and I can't wait to try the UL.
